I have several of the old style green shimano curados. All are in very good condition 9/10 comsemetically, 9.5/10 mechanically. Recently cleaned and oiled.
$100.00 each ftf
I will try to get pics up tonight. If anyone wants to take a look before then, send a pm and we can arrange something.

Re: Opinion on Aluminum Boat
Most relevant info has been posted already. I just have one theing to add - the flip side of being light and floating in nothing is that on a windy day, the alum boat will get blown around twice as bad. Which is remedied with drift sock/5 galon buckets. I am a believer of aluminum in this area for ...

Re: Boater's insurance
Thats sounds like a good rate, but it all depends on what it covers. Collision, comprehensive, towing, gear, liability, personal injury?
Mine is $25 per thousand with progressive with varying rates of all the coverages above.

Aren't you the one that told me those HP rating plates were the "minimum suggested HP"?MrGreenJeans wrote:I would recomend the max HP rated for the boat if you can swing it.

Destin charter recommendations
Looking for a offshore charter out of Destin for 3 or 4 people. Smaller boats are fine. I had a guy we used before that was real good, but I lost his card. I could probably find him if I walked the docks, but we are going Memorial Day so i want to book it in advance.

Re: Comments on a Mitzi skiff
Sexy looking, but they also look small, and as small and flat as it is, there is no way it rides very dry or smooth in rough water.
But most flats boats dont. No boat deos everything well. If its good shallow, the ride is rough. If its dry, it drafts more, etc, etc.

Re: trolling motors?
55# is fine for a light boat like you are talking, but you may regret the pull start 25. 25s can be a pain to pull and 4 strokes haven't really come all that far. A cracking battery for a small motor doesnt weight much. I watched this very scenario on the lake the other day with a new 25hp 4 stroke...

We have been in about 4.5 feet for trout, blues, spanish, and flounder. Less than 2 foot for reds and trout. The shallow trout have been fewer, but significantly larger

Re: trolling motors?
You are going to want that extra 10# of thrust, if not more. An underpowered trolling motor isnt a bargin at any price.
