Has anyone else thought of using tiny rubber bands - like orthodontia bands - to put around the grub neck to keep them on longer? I have an 2001 or 2002 55lb riptide with a 48" shaft. It has a bit of a chirp to it that I have been meaning to fix, but I will sell it as is for $125. I will sell it fixed for $200, but it will take a little time to order and install the replacement part.
