Re: Cobia Woes!

If you are going to use a cat fish, cut off the barbs, the cobia will notice that every time.

Re: Pinfish proof tails?

Has anyone else thought of using tiny rubber bands - like orthodontia bands - to put around the grub neck to keep them on longer? Seems like a good idea but I haven't located the little rubber bands... ? You might want to look into different jig heads. The ones with the bump or the mushroom shaped ...

Re: Which GPS??

My experience with Lowrance is that they have some of the best customer service you could ask for, but I would prefer that I didnt need to speak with them every six months.

Re: Rules for push poling a boat.....

My push pole incident involved trying to get a small boat off a floating island by pushing against said floating island. When the duck foot finally punched thru I ended up putting both legs thru the island up to the crotch. Luckily I stopped there, but at 40 degrees out it was a long ride back to th...

Re: ***W T B SALTWATER TROLLING MOTOR***

I have an 2001 or 2002 55lb riptide with a 48" shaft. It has a bit of a chirp to it that I have been meaning to fix, but I will sell it as is for $125. I will sell it fixed for $200, but it will take a little time to order and install the replacement part.

Funny how four bolts and little wire can take all day....

It took me hours to mount my new one and I already had the holes drilled.

Re: Lake Hall - Feb 10

It was maginal last summer. The deep water was just out of reach for my trailer then, but we could manage. I probably ought to stop by and look before I drag the boat down there. Thanks.

Re: Lake Hall - Feb 10

Hows the landing there? How wet are you having to get the truck to float the boat and is there any chance of keeping the back wheels on pavement?

Re: Bass Pro to Tallahassee?

I've got a buddy that is an electrical engineer for Tallahassee. He told me about 4 months ago that bass pro had talked with the city about building a store. He also said that there was another "high end" outdoors store that was comming as well. He couldn't remember the name at the time. ...

Re: St Marks 1/12/08

We had a really good time. The weather was great, the fishing was good enough and low intensity, and riverside is always good. Now my daughter and wife are jealous. We will all be going next weekend.

Thx for the fish id mo.

St Marks 1/12/08

Took the day off of serious fishing and took my 6 yr old son and my dad for a boat ride with fishing poles. Started with lunch at Riverside Cafe then headed down the river. Caught the rising tide just before it washed over the oyster bars. Dad caught a good size gar that thankfully released itself a...
