Econfina 12/29
Went out today, tired the river, tried the flats, tried the creeks. Ended up with two keepers out of one creek. Probably caught over 75 trout in the river, the biggest going 14.5" Also caught some croakers around 2 or 3 lbs a piece. Anyone ever kept and ate one of these?

Re: Fishing 12/24 St Marks
Caught them out on the flats today. Find some grass in about 2 or 3 feet of water and fish slow.

Econfina River 12/20
Went out yesterday to try to catch a few trout. Tried the flats, tried the creeks, tried the river. Ended up with 3 fish, all about 15.25 long. Worst day catching wise I have had in a long time. Threw everything we had in the boat at them to no avail. Gonna try to get back down there this week and t...

Re: Bilge Pump wiring
If it has a fuse in the switch then you will probably be fine without an inline fuse. However, it wont hurt to have the extra fuse.

Re: Bilge Pump wiring
There are two ways to wire this up: with the switch and without the switch. It will work either way. Wiring it with the switch will just give you the safety of having a backup if the float fails while you are in the boat. Here are diagrams of both. Wire them straight to the battery and make sure you...

Re: Bass Tracker in saltwater?
I fish out of a pt 175 bass tracker and I haven't had many problems. I did have to replace the trailer a couple years ago cause it was steel. I just flush out the motor and and give it a good washdown every time when I get home from fishing. The one thing i don't like about it is having carpet. Gets...

Re: Pitting on an aluminmum hull
Using a zinc anode on the boat may be able to prevent pitting in the future. Keep us updated on what you use. I have a little pitting in my boat. I have used JB Weld in the past to stop leaks from pits, and while the leaks have stopped, I'm not sure how long the JB Weld will hold up for.

Re: Econfina Rock
I guess I just keep telling myself that my boat runs shallow enough to miss the rocks. I've been out on some pretty low tides and haven't hit anything yet. I've hit a couple logs in the river, but no rocks yet. Thanks for the the numbers though. I'll pass them on to my dad.

Econfina Rock
Econfina is where I do all of my fishing at, and my boat runs shallow enough to miss the rocks. My dad's boat is a bit bigger and runs deeper. We took it out of econfina once a few years ago, and caught a rock with the motor on the way in. We were about a mile out from the tripod and a little bit we...

Re: Mercury Hesitating???
i have the same problem with my 2005 90 2 stroke are you saying the regular fuel pump is going bad or is there an extra fuel pump for excelleration??? The pump I am talking about is an extra fuel pump that just gives a short burst when you accelerate. It's called a diaphram pump on some engines. I ...
