First Deer of the Season
Shot my first deer with the bow and arrow. Been wanting to shoot one with the bow for several years, and finally managed to get a shot today. Got it quartered and on ice, and I get to fire up the grinder early this year!

Well, its a boxing match, so probably the boxer.
However, with what they are both getting paid, its kinda hard to call it a loss.

Re: 8/21 Total Eclipse of the Sun
We drove up to north Georgia to watch it in the path of totality. It was definitely well worth the trip.

Re: Evinrude E tech motors
My dad has a 150 E-tec and has gremlins in the motor. Some days it runs fine, some day it doesn't want to crank, and some times it only runs on a couple cylinders. Finding a shop that can work on an E-Tec and can get your boat back to you in less than 6 weeks is tough. He's taken the motor to severa...

Re: landark and port st joe fishing
We wore out the trout, spanish, and bluefish out on dog island reef earlier this week. We had equal success floating a gulp under a CT and bouncing a gulp along the bottom. 5-8 ft was the depth we caught them at.

I get mine on Amazon.com. You have to watch for the sales, but you can get them for around $3 a pack sometimes.

Re: GPS questions from a primitive fisherman
If you are used to using your phone, you can get the Navionic's app. It has all the features that my GPS mounted on my boat, minus the sonar and thermometer. I use the app as my backup, but if you are used to fishing with nothing at all in terms of GPS it may be worth looking at. It is much cheaper ...

Re: Grilling fish????
Scale and gut the fish, leave the head on and don't fillet. In a skillet, sautee some onion, bell pepper (green and red), celery, scallions, and garlic in some butter or olive oil. Once they start to brown, take them and stuff the gut cavity of the fish. You can sew up the cavity with some kitchen t...

Re: Keaton Beach accomodations?
Look at the Keaton Beach Cabins. They are clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and have a space to moor your boat.

Re: Motor issue
I had a similar problem on my boat. Turned put to be a broken o-ring on the fuel filter. If I ran it in the driveway or at low rpm, it was fine. It just cut out once I was at high rpm for a while. I figured that at low rpm the bowl on the carb could stay full. Once I opened it up, it was sucking gas...
