One more question
Are you speaking of the dirt road that ends at the boat ramp or was it a paved road with pot holes. I think I know where you are talking about. Which breathable waders do you suggest for good movement? I thought about a wetsuit but that still requires to get wet and the cost really put me off.
Lanark
I'm wondering if there is anywhere to launch a kayak to fish in Lanark. I've been several times but never with my Yak and I don't want to piss the wrong folks off. I like to respect a man's private property... Any suggestions?

Winter Kayak wear?
I'm looking for an outfit that maybe you guys have put to the test in a SOT kayak on a cold day. Obviously waterproof is the key... Any suggestions on something that works for you guys? I'm planning on fishing the Panacea area this weekend and don't want weather to hold me back.
Recent good luck
My brother went with a friend and all they had to go on was the April edition of Woods & Water. They went to some of the numbers posted in the first couple of pages of the magazine. I thought they were going to be in for a long day but they had great results. I'm not sure what they were using fo...

I had company!
The girlfriend was out fishing with me.... She is a trouper! Her brother is a guide down in Mosquito Lagoon, so she has spent time on the water. I haven't figured out how I'm going to take good pictures when I am solo. If you guys have to answer let me know.

addtional info.
I've been a heavy reader on this site but not much posting. This was my first fishing report with many to follow. Forgot to add this was on Sunday afternoon and it was windy out of the SW but staying near the shoreline keep me protected and made it seem like a perfect day. The picture was deceiving.

Bald Point Area
Got on the water in the kayak around 1:00. Saw plenty of reds moving in the grass but no takers. Finally around 3:30 the action picked up. 2 reds (1 - 25", 1 - 14") both returned to fight another day. My first catch on the kayak so I included a picture...... http://www.forumpictureprocesso...

Any suggestions?
I'm going to Lake Hall on Saturday (limited time so got to stay close to town). Sunday I'm going somewhere on the coast. Both trips will be in the kayak. I'm going blind except with my own fishing knowledge. I'm renting a yak for the girlfriend but we are after some fish. Any suggetions would be gre...

Where do you put in there?
Hey Lit,
I read more than I post here trying to learn before I offer up useless information. I just got my yak and my first trip was to Wakulla Beach this past Sunday. I've got a place down near Angelo's in Panacea on a canal. Are you going in the Harbor or out from the beach over at Alligator Point?

New Kayak Fisherman
I just got my fist kayak and I've been out a few times. I'm hoping to meet some fellow yak fisherman myself. Looking forward to a little warmer weather. I was out at Wakulla Beach this past Sunday just to try and learn the area a little. Dropped a line or two but never hooked up. Saw a few reds.

Area maps?
Any of you use a local map to fish our areas? I've always seen Florida Sportsmans map but had my doubts? I'm mostly looking for something to show me some detail of our local waters....
thanks!
Thanks for the input. I needed to hear some input from some experienced yakers. I'm going to pick it up now and make a game time decision on the paddle.
