clarification: Gentlemen - in my earlier post I did not mean to infer that PFDs (part one) were in some cases noticeably absent which proped my question (part two) about topless yaking .. i.e., topless as in vest-less. No, no, no. What I was inferring was that some folks were clearly bare-chested in...

2 imnportant questions:

1) Redwilly mentioned a PFD .."angler model by MTI with plenty of zippered pockets for all sorts of gear" ... how much? I'm looking for good one.
2) Are we officially promoting Topless Yaking? How can I help?

Well done there F'N'G. So how does one "go out of Dekle?" Is there a ramp there? I have fished that Adams Beach area for reds and have done well .. trout too. Hey, while we're at it .. how does one go out of Spring Warrior?

I'd start 'em with a pushbutton spincast .. but I'm half crazy. These other guys are 100% looney tunes, so take their advice .. and take a good first aid kit with a quality wire cutter ;-)

You probably can't get there from here ...

You probably can't get there from here ... but I'm wondering .. and especially wondering from you guys up near Thomasville. where do you all tend to go and how do you get there? For me to go to gulf I first make the pilgrimmage to Holy Thomasville (and genuflect to the mighty Remington Park soccer f...

The singles scene at Aucilla

I had a pretty cute chick try to pick me up on the Aucilla Friday. Well – I think it was a she. Pretty embarrassing if it was a he. I was fighting a Cevalle Jack at the time and looked to my right and there she was – poking her face up at me like she wanted to climb into the yak – all cute and...

I don't know half of what these other guys know .. heck, I don't know an eighth of what they know. But I've never been skunked going out of Keaton Beach and I've never gone out of there in a boat smaller than 18 feet. It kind of depends on how far you are - and how much drive time (or fuel) you want...

Thanks Ap - I'm tempted to steal the one that belongs to the little lady. I searched the Sam's in Albany and the one in Columbus and came up dry. Ended up (for now) with a less insulated Publix cool bag. I'm still lookin'. Or I'll stink up Donna's with fish slime and see if she shoots me dead - or j...

How do you keep fish?

You wise old sages had some pretty darn good anchor and rope ideas last week. How about some advice on keeping fish? I don't generally fish for meat, but keeping a red or a couple of trout here and there has it's place. If I keep an ice bag in the front locker, I'd pretty much have to get out of the...

Good luck on the big lake .. or rather the littlest of the Great Ones. I grew up fishing in that water, although at the other end .. Canadian and NY side of Niagara mouth, Buffalo harbor, Peace Bridge, Grand Island. I still try to get there once a year to go out with my brother who almost exclusivel...

So this fisherman walks into a bar ...

Clearly he has a had a tough day - whether out on the water or elsewhere. "Bartender," he says, "Do you have Crown Royal?" "Of course I have Crown Royal!" "Good - line 'em up. Shots! Ten of 'em" "Man you must have had a tough day! Ten of 'em?" "...
