Got on the water at about 6:45 and headed east and we were met with a little wind out of the SE but not too bad. I was hoping to throw...

Re: J16 Carolina Skiff
I appreciate your input guys! I think Im going to get it. Im not to concerned about speed and the 25 should fit my needs. Ill just make sure any passengers are young women wearing little and weighing little.

Re: J16 Carolina Skiff
It has a bow mount motor guide trolling motor, bimini top, Hummingbrid depth finder/GPS. No live wells just the bow casting deck and bench in the back. They are asking $4700.
DO you think the 25HP will be enough?

J16 Carolina Skiff
Im thinking about buying one? It is a 2004 with a 25 Yamaha 4-Stroke tiller on it. I assume that should be enough motor for it but I noticed on the CS webesite it says the max is a 40HP. I appreciate any input you guys have.

SGI - 5/17/08
Went down to SGI and stayed down close to the state park. The wind blew all day on friday so no fishing. Saturday was beautiful but no tasty fish were caught. I used shrimp on pompano rigs just as bman showed last week but all I caught was ladyfish, catfish and blues. Better than nothing i guess.

Re: Aucilla 4/20
Casey and I usually have some sort of boat or weather issue when we go fishing but today both cooperated beautifully and I woke up on time! We caught fish at every spot we fished as usual with Capt. CC and his pet trout and reds were waiting right where he said they would be. He failed to mention ho...
