Re: Handheld VHF Radio Advice
I have an ICOM M25 5 watt handheld and used in the woods for hunting a few years ago. The range in wooded areas is about 1 mile. I have used it on my boat since the the range is about 5 miles between boats. Of course I can hear USCG Mobile AL.

Re: Econfina River - first time advice
Also curious about Navionics. Looks pretty user friendly? Can you download for areas with no signal and still track your location? Re: Econfina River - first time advice
I guess I've had dumb luck running Econfina because I fished it twice with my old aluminum boat and 4 or 5 times with my new fiberglass boat and never hit anything (knocking on wood as I type this). I even ran through Possum Gap in the old boat to get to Oyster Creek those two times. There are some ...

Re: Trophy-sized sailcats!

I have always wondered if it's legal to set a crab trap and tie a pallet on the buoy line for Triple tail attractors. Nice sail cats! I've he...

I'm sorry to hear that as well! Has anyone had a good interaction with the new Porter Marine? I had hoped the name would carry on with the same level of quality.

Does anyone on here know how to find the one about the guy getting caught in his electric fence? This story and that one are the funniest that I have read on the forum. Thanks This one? https://www.bigbendfishing.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=209170&hilit=Electric+Fence+and+the+Lawnmower#p209170

Great report even if you didn't take home a limit of fish! What is the deal with the pogo stick at Deals? Last time I was there they got it out and started singing and dancing.

Great report! Water temp in Big Pass this past weekend was 72, but only catfish wanted to get on the hook. Water looked the color of southern sweat tea.

Where did you find decent water clarity on Sunday? All the water I saw looked like coffee!
