Re: St. Marks River?

Thanks for the info guys! We may fish the mouth of the river, and go to the sandbar real quick, but for now I just wanted to stick to staying on the river for smoother water if needed. Good info on the freshwater vs. saltwater license. I didn't want to buy a freshwater license just to let her try fo...

St. Marks River?

This may be in the wrong spot, so please feel free to move if needed. I plan on taking my daughter (3yo) who has been asking to go fishing, up the St. Marks River a little ways to try and put something on a hook for her. The plan to stay off the flats, and head up river are due mostly to keep us in ...

Re: St. Marks Boating/Swimming

I don't know the size of your boat, but we like to go to the Wacissa blue hole to swim in the summer. I have a special john just for that purpose. 19ft Wellcraft with a 115, so that would be a no-go. Would be a good place to take her on the double yak when she is a bit older though. In this heat, I...

Re: St. Marks Boating/Swimming

Please be careful about having your two year old in the water anywhere in that area. Gators. I'm not an alarmist. Just telling you from St Marks Refuge wadefishing experience that river gators have different instinctive responses to adult-sized humans, compared to any living thing roughly the size ...

St. Marks Boating/Swimming

Plan on taking the wife and 2 year old daughter up river to putt putt around and possibly get out and swim.

Any certain spots we should stop at to swim?

Will be putting in at the public ramp or at Shield's and heading up river from there.

Thanks! :-D

Same for us out of Carrabelle, fished hard but nothing to bring home. Huge schools of lady fish and dolphins everywhere.

As far as the bikini contests: I don't know if there is a cover charge, as I've never attended one, because I wish to stay happily married until death do us part.

Re: REDTROUT SHOOTOUT BACK ON!

used to be a trend that Hurley would schedule a tourney and a hurricane would meet us at the ramps. He took the conventional approach of fish at your own risk, rain or shine. I believe that is probably the case, no reschedule. In a way I could understand it, as I probably wouldn't be able to make a...
