Re: SGI info
I know I am late, but Harry A's is an over priced tourist haunt with marginal food. They recently replced teh manager, which may help things, but I would avoid. Tamara's in Apalch is good too - pecan fried grouper with jalapeno cream sauce and horseradish mashed potatos is amazing. Love the Owl sund...

Re: WTB Tackle Bag...
First off - congrats. I have two girls and tI can not imagine where I'd be without them. Like the others have stated, you'll come around on the bag thing. We bought a black baby backpack from landsend and used it. Wife used it as a baby bag and purse and I could carry it too. You will quickly learn ...

Re: live bait options + Carrabelle area
We run out to soft bottom @40-50 ft and fish with squid for perch/squirrelfish. Seems like it has always worked. 6 oz weight and a double hook. You will double up many times.

Re: Grouper vs. Snapper set-ups
What they say. I am no expert, but the we seem to use cut bait for snapper and start with live bait for grouper. It is my experieince that the AJ are typically above the snapper who are above the grouper. Another option other than pinfish are the "roosterfish" or perch. Typically they are ...

Re: Call for Action as EPA attacks Sportsmen/Wildlife
This was rejected by EPA last week on the grounds that it would become a second amendment issue and they did nto want to infringe.

Re: Truck Rack for Kayaks
I am with the Pirate on this one. Let me ask an even dummer question that may also help cost. This is going to sit pretty tall if it is above the cab on the truck. If you are going that high. Can you use aluminum/wooden dowels or something else and build to fit into the tie-down holes (don't know wh...

Can I ask why the elbow? From teh scaled drawing, it appera the whole sled box is only about 4 ft long. Is that about right? Id so, I'd make it longer. Not sure how you plan to secure, but the two legs inder the tool box are obvious.

Re: Scoop Sea's Oil Spill Thread
I read an article, well more of an hupothesis that seemed to imply that the BOP is not actually on the sea floor, but was supported by the pipe and teh vessels above. The supposition was that the pipe below teh floor of the gulf had been compromised and the reason flows had been increased was not du...

Re: sgi redfish suggestions
I am far from an expert, don't fish the coast but a few weeks a year; but when I do, it is SGI. LAst week, they were catching reds, down on the west end of teh island in the march around Nick's Hole. Some have luck in Rattlesnake Cove. Once you found the right depth, specks were pretty much. I am su...
