A 7 1/2 foor Shakespeare Excursion rod is perfect for a CT. $13.88 at Walmart. Since it's from Walmart, if you don't like it you can take it back.
Ask TC about it. I have gone to them exclusively.
I am going to try one them out here pretty soon as well

MH and braided line (7-foot of rod)

I have the ugly stick inshore as well as a Berkley, both are pretty good IMHO

NWR Questions

When one fishes from shore within the St. Marks NWR, is there any impact on the fishing regulations?

Can I take fiddler crabs out of the NWR for bait in order to fish in another location?

It was the three forum members and SeaNile's son Rick and CSMarine's buddy Don. We went out at around 7:10AM and found SeaNile's pinfish tra...

There are special rods that retract the rigs into the blank, expensive but you could probably make up the difference after about 100 rigs.

St. Marks 6-14-03

Nitrofish and I went out of St. Marks in his boat this morning. The weather was excellent but the fish were not all that cooperative. We fished out 5-7 miles from the lighthouse with naked jigs on the bottom and floating a few pins/spot-tails under CTs out a ways from the boat. Caught some short tro...

Tides

So I am thinking about wade fishing some accessible spots this weekend (anyone with a boat and no partner give me an email), what tide conditions should I be looking for? "Incoming tide near the grass line" That is what I have been told, is this the best tide for me? I was thinking today t...
