Re: Catching PinFish

I have never tried pinfishing midday. not sure if that might have anything to do with it. we have caught so many in the morning that the livewell won't hold them. we use the same rig that you described -- cork, split shot, and small piece of squid. when they are really hitting, we have caught four a...

Re: Scalloping/ Shelling

We scalloped for the first time at keaton beach last year and limits were extremely easy to come by. It took a little bit (30 minutes) to get the hang of spotting the scallops, but once we did, we had a lot of fun. It was me, my wife, and our two kids (9&10). The kids found as many as we did. Ba...

Re: How to "pinfish" fish????

One tip I have been given regarding leader length is to use a leader under a CT that keeps the pinfish just above the grass in the area you are fishing. Otherwise, the pinfish will swim down and hide in the grass. Although we have caught some really nice trout drift a pinfish behind the boat, sharks...

Re: Trailer Info.. FYI...

What was the MFG date code on them? That is what matters, not when you bought them. ALWAYS look at the Mfg Date when you buy new tires. If not you could wind up with tires already 2 or 3 years old the day you install them. If you are buying a new boat, make sure the trailer has new (mfg date wise)ti...

Re: June 3 -- Wind and Water -- St. Marks

I am probably not the one to answer, but I have never seen a rock at peter's rock. peter's rock is in water about 8-12' deep depending on tides.

as you probably know, rock garden, black rock and cobb rock are completely different stories.

i hope someone will confirm my answer on peter's rock.

Re: Trailer Info.. FYI...

I had two Goodyear radial trailer tires blow out with less than 5,000 miles on them (two separate trips). Goodyear replaced both of them at no charge. Both blowouts occurred about 2 hours into the trip. I also was fortunate that the traffic I was in allowed to me safely get to the shoulder of the r...

Re: Mexico Beach Kings

Where we were catching fish on the buoy line is probably about 6-7 miles from the Mexico Beach canal. The buoy line serves as the channel marker going into Port St. Joe bay. You could also launch in the bay, run out to the mouth of the bay and then turn up the buoy line. We have a 19' boat and had n...

Mexico Beach Kings

Fished Saturday and Sunday at Mexico Beach for kings along the buoy line. On Saturday, had some equipment problems and came in early with 2 kings. By the time we were ready to go back out, the wind had kicked up and we couldn't get out. Sunday was a much better day. Got on the water by about 7 and b...

Re: FISHING THE CAR BODIES!!!!!!!!
