Re: Stolen Tackle
My guess is that it was a couple of kids that did it. They probable don't even have a boat and are going to try to use the tackle for bass fishing. Oh Well, at least now my wife can't get on me about buying a bunch of new tackle now.

Re: Stolen Tackle
It happened at my house in Killearn Lakes some time between 11pm sat night and 3:30 sunday morning. My brain does work too well at that time so in the past I have always put that stuff in the boat the night before. Luckily my pole and electronics were locked in my truck.

Stolen Tackle
Got on the water Sunday morning and opened up one of the hatches in my boat where I kept my tackle but it was empty. I had 5 plastic boxes of assorted tackle that someone STOLE out of my boat Sat night in Killearn Lakes. If anyone happens to hear of anyone pawning off anything Please let me know. Th...

Mash Sands 25
It's been a few weeks since I have been able to get on the water so when Saturday rolled around I was more than willing to get an early start. My dad and I left the landing and headed out the mouth of the river just before sun rise. The seas were flat and the sky’s pretty clear and it was looking li...

Re: Tarpon help?
If you like to post up and wait on them Turkey Point is a good place but it gets boring. I like to put in at Mashes Sands at the mouth of the Ochlocknee River and ride along the shore line to Bald Point and Mud Cove. Just look for the bait and birds. At the elbow there is a bar that creates a funnel...

St Marks 13 & 14
Saturday morning I put in at the Saint Marks Light house at 6:15. Since the temp has been reaching the mid 90’s and showers were predicted for the afternoon I wanted to get an early start. It took about an hour to fill the live well with what I guessed to be around 4 dozen pin fish. My goal was to c...

mashes sands 6-8
Took the wife and two friends (Tyler & Lauren) out Sunday for a little snapper fishing. Left Mashes Sands landing at 7:15. There was a little chop and some fog but within an hour the fog lifted and the sea’s became flat. Headed out to the first spot in 50 feet. I was at this same area on Wednesd...

Marine cell booster
I was thinking about putting a cell phone booster on my boat. I have been told they can extend your coverage to 50 miles off shore. Since 25 miles is about as far as I go it sounds like it might work but wanted to hear some thoughts. If you have one how do you like it. Does it really work that far o...

6-3 snapper trip
Took the day off work to see if we could put some snapper in the ice box before they got pounded by the weekend traffic. We ended up heading out of Mashes Sands landing at 7:15am. I was expecting to find 3 foot seas and rain but was pleasantly surprised to see the sea’s at less than 1 foot with only...

5 to 6 miles. All the numbers are public and easy to find. Just search Mexico Beach artificial reefs.

Re: Mexico Beach 5-3
We didn't use live bait for the Kings because we couldn’t find any. Stopped by 8 buoy's and found only one hard tail. We ended up just trolling stretch 25 plugs for the kings. They were all on the small side, 12-18lbs but fun to catch. We kept one for dinner and let the rest go. Had a hard time find...

Mexico Beach 5-3
NOAA was calling for 1-2 but it was more like 4 with the occasional 5 so we stayed within 6 mile of the coast'. started trolling around the car bodies. with 5 min got the first hit using stretch 25. the fish spooled us on the first run and got off. ran out close to 300 yards of line. My guess was ei...
