Solo trip
One of my highlights ever Monday is to look at the forum and see what everyone got into over the weekend. I know, it’s pretty sad but when you do what I do for a living it doesn’t take much. Maybe everyone is just moving a little slower after last night’s super bowl. I know I am. Anyways since no on...

Re: st mark river fishing
The reds were schooled up last weekend in a foot or two of water. Came upon 10 schools with 50 plus fish in each of them. They were very spooky though and only managed to land 4 in the 25 inch range. Kept 3 and all had blue crabs in their belly.

I don't know why it posted 3 times. I guess it's been too long since my last report and I forgot how it worked

Weekend at St Marks
Sunday the 10th. Last Monday my dad calls me up to express his desire to get out on the water this weekend. I guess it’s been a few weeks since his last venture and really just needed his fix. I say this because normally that call doesn’t come until Thu or Fri so I knew he was itching to go. The pla...

Re: Gheenoe & Riverhawk: Give me the skinny
I have a Gheenoe style boat and a 14 Jon. The Jon is faster, dryer and much easier to fish out of. The only thing the Gheenoe is better at is paddling and if that's what I want to do I'll take out my kayak.

Re: Wanna talk diving and spearfishg?
Last week when I was off shore the water was still the color of tea. If it’s cleared up any please let me know because I’d like to bring my tanks along Sun when I go out.

Quick report from Sat and Sun
Sat morning I went out with my dad. Got down to the lighthouse a couple min before 7 and was greeted by a stiff S-SW breeze. It had to be blowing at least 15-20mph which made us rethink the plan. Since we already had the boat in the water and nothing else to do that morning we went ahead and pushed ...

Re: Anyone diving?
I have tried to go a few times this summer but on each occasion the water was just too dirty. The last time was about three weeks ago. We got in the water and could barely see past my flippers. I'm hoping with this front coming in the north wind might blow out some of the dirty water out.

Re: Electrical help
Thanks for the advice. The battery is less than a year old and it's not just the GPS that shuts off when I crank the motor. It’s also the live well, lights and stereo. Although the other devises shutting off is a problem it really doesn't bother me that much since they turn back on within a second o...

Electrical help
I have been having a problem with my electronics shutting off every time I start the motor. They turn back on but I lose all my tracts on the GPS which is frustrating. I don’t know if it’s a surge causing it or if it’s a temporary lose of power. This only happens when I start the motor. Any ideas wh...
