Re: Silly Question, But Thought I Would Ask
No giggs but I did pull up an additional anchor this weekend along with about 100' of rope. I left it at the fort landing since I didn't need another one. It didn't look like it had been down very long. it was on a bardge in 30 feet of water.

Re: Okuma Reels
I owned two a few years back. Can’t remember the model but want to say I paid around $130 each. They worked great the first year and had a very smooth drag system. In the second season they both start feeling rough with one seized up on me. I had a hell of a time dealing with their customer service ...

Water Clarity
Went out this Sat on a little dive trip with the wife and neighbor. It’s only the second time I’ve gotten to go this year so needless to say we were a little excited. Headed out of Lanark mid morning and wasn’t in that much of a hurry since high tide wasn’t until 2:30. Our first stop was some rock p...

night fishing offshore
Need some advice on fishing offshore reefs at night or at least someone to tell me what we did wrong? Three of us headed out this past Friday night to Bryson reef to see if we could get on a mangrove bite. We ended up anchoring about an hour or so before sun set. Set out a chum bag, used squid, live...

Re: St Marks Gov shut down
NO ! FWC will still enforce the law State and Federal it's what they do. Good deal, I was hoping that would be the case. Yea! Sure you were. Of course I am. If FWC stopped enforcing these Federal laws what do you think all the commercial guys, and for that matter most everyone else do. It wo...

Re: St Marks Gov shut down
Thanks Scoop Sea, Let me present another question. A buddy of mine is a FWC officer in SF. He tells me that even though they are a state agency they enforce Federal fishery laws because that is where a lot of their funding comes from. Will they stop enforcing these laws if a government shutdown come...

St Marks Gov shut down
Based on the information I’ve read it looks like there is a 50/50 chance that the government is going to shut down this Friday / Sat. Last time this happened the St. Marks Refuge got closed too. If Government does shut down does this have an immediate effect on the refuge? In other words could it be...

Sunday morning
Went out of Saint Marks and fished the creeks at first light. Caught 12-15 trout with 3 going over 20 inches. Also picked up 3 reds. 2 went 24 inches and one pup. Only kept 2 small trout for lunch and let the rest go. Got back to Tally by noon.

Sat & Sun
Headed out of Mashes Sands on Sat with my wife and 4 dozen live shrimp with the hopes of catching sheephead and sea’s permitting a few AJ’s. Well the seas were great although it was a little chilly out. Our first spot was a rock pile in about 10 feet of water. We anchored about 15 yards up current a...
