I'm confused -- I thought TC was the one with the sore butt after a long ride? :o I must have had my facts mixed up. :-D

I know this will come as a shock to hear, but I won't be able to make this one either. Visiting with in-laws in Houston. This has definitely not been the Year of the Fish for me. :smt010 Ya'll cath 'em up.

A friend of mine is supposed to do some or all of the construction work. I'll check with him on the timing.

Guess I desereved that one. Unfortunately, that boat hasn't been getting nearly as much time in the water as it should.

I've had a 17 CC Sea Pro for several years now and have been very happy with it other than it doesn't catch enough fish. I'm sure that's a boat issue and not a captain issue. I've been caught a few times in some fairly ugly water and never had a problem except that the speedometer has ...

Wahoo! -- St. Augustine 6/4

I lucked out and somehow managed to convince folks at my firm that taking clients out on a bluewater fishing trip is a legitimate "client marketing activity." So, last year we chartered a trip on the "Hattitude" out of St. Augustine, a 50-foot Hatteras. This was not the kind of f...

Cran -- I remember your post from last year about your St. Augustine trip. Talk about coincidence, our trip out of Commanche Cove last year was set for the same Saturday as your trip but the boat had engine problems and we had to re-schedule. :x So, we went 2 weeks later and with much less success t...

Nice place. We ate at the restaurant there Friday evening. We fished out of Commanche Cove. If I can get my act together I'll post a report. Glad you had a good trip.

I guess this comes under the small world category. I also fished out of St. Augustine on Saturday. Which marina did you go out of?

NFGFC Tonight (5/19)

Just a reminder that there's an NFGFC meeting tonight at 7:00 pm at Beef O'Brady's. Captain Randy Peart will be the guest speaker. Randy's past presentations have always been very informative.

The Tin Can method for successful flats fishing: 1) Go South. 2) Use any lure as long as it's chartreuse. 3) Make sure your shoes and bag match your dress. Never fails (well, almost never). :-D

I'm confirmed now instead of a possibly/maybe. Just need to make sure I can find some fish so it's not just a sight-seeing trip.

Actually, I shouldn't be whining about things. We caught a few fish, had some fun and nothin' broke. I guess I just had my expectations set a little too high. SC -- I already have the handheld VHF and GPS -- I just need to make sure from here on out I always bring them with me.
