Tried calling furuno directly but say it will be 4 to 5 days before a technicion will call us back and help. W...

My buddy Jeremy just acquired a small flats/river boat so we decided to take it on it first voyage today. We fished the creeks east of the lighthouse and had a stellar day in the number of fish, just not in size. We had our limit within 15 minutes fishing the shorelines of creeks with frozen shrimp....

Re: 1200 Sea Turtles Rescued

I work for FWC freshwater research in Quincy, FL and were told to go to PSJ bay to help with the turtle rescue. It was quite a sight to see all of the volunteers and different organizations (FWC, USFWS, FDEP, and NOAA Fisheries) working hard and dilligently to save as many turltes as we could. My cr...

Re: Help with grouper out of St. Marks

We killed them this fall in 18 to 25 ft off st marks but with the drastic fall in water temps, we have not had a sniff in that shallow water anymore. In my experiences, once the water temp dips below 58ish, they haul ass back deep. In my previouse years off st marks, once jan 15 hits its time to go ...

Re: headed down the weekend { help}

Iv been running a creel survey with FWC the past year as one of the many projects I do with them as a Fish and Wildlife Technician. I interviewed 2 guys yesterday that said they did well on the redfish and trout along with a few stripers fishing closer to the gulf. They said the freshwater has done ...

Re: New To Grouper Fishing

Head out of St. Marks past the bird rack to the last buoy. Head southeast to 25+ft and start trolling and watching the bottom machine. When you get a hit or go over some good looking bottom or a rock, stop and fish it with dead bait, frozen stuff..aka lys, cigar minnows, sardines, ect. You dont have...

35-38 ft. They should be on the move even shallower in the next few days to a week with water temp dropping even more. Good luck!

St. Marks 11-17-09 Grouper (Gags)

After having to move all last weekend during the perfect weather window, I felt as though I blew it for not being able to go. I saw the forecast was still calling to be good through tuesday and increase the rest of the week as the front neared. Game time decision had myself, my buddy Jeremy and Matt...
