Re: Whats a 1963 3hp worth?

bman: What is it's value? Not much! but.....mine is a 60 or 61 Johnson 3hp. It belonged to my daddy. He bought it new when he retired. Money couldn't buy it! Yours look in much better condition. I was told some folks use them on big boats to push it slow for night gigging. Hope someone is interested...

Re: "Lucky" hat

bman: I understand completely! Years ago I was on the U of F Livestock Judging Team. I had a special pair of under drawers that I wore at every competition. They were so good that I retired them after the last big meet. The International Livestock Judging Contest at the Union Stockyards in Chicago. ...

Scoop Sea: Just wanted to let you know how I've enjoyed reading your reports. I'm one of hundreds that have been silent, reading and praying. You have an air of honesty in your reports which I respect. I am well aware of what we think are facts being wrong, changes take place that point us on a diff...

Re: Red Lobster is as good as it gets?

lonesouth: If you ever fish out of Keaton. Clean what your family would normally eat and go to the Hot Dog stand. They will fry you fish and make you a meal of fries, grits, slaw and sweet tea that is delicious! Get the "house batter" on your fish. You don't need your own fish but it would...

Please, let me check this out!

You by chance wouldn't be a Baptist preacher, would you?

If my church ever needs another preacher, I'll drop your name in the hat.

It would be nice to have a preacher that can fish!

Big Bend Gyrene: As I've said before, my wife and I fished all day Friday the 23 and got skunked. I saw your hasty, short report and wondered! Now I know....when will your little brother be back home? Think we could pay him to fish with us? Serously, my hat is tipped to ya...you know your stuff! You...

Thanks Jumptrout51.

Never thought of crabbers but that is good advice! Yes, and they would know.

I suppose I could see if I wasn't so blind...makes good sense!

Any more good advice out there?

Thanks again.....and good fishing!

Finding Trout in Dog Days

We need some advice on locating speckled trout in these hot summer Dog Days. Seems they have left the flats. Are they in deeper water? How do you locate them? Do any of you use a fish finder to help locate trout. We took ours off the fish finding mode in shallow water because it annoyed my wife with...

Re: How Embarrassing

Charles, I understand! Trip before last to Keaton, I didn't put the plug in and the lift man didn't check. Once in the water my arm wasn't long enough to reach the hole. Had to be pulled out while EVERYONE in line watched and snickered. My neighbor has a saying that would apply to your and my situat...
