Re: Review: Innovative Cork- Midcoast Products
They look and sound great. With the way the leader is tied on top, does a large or extra frisky bait not pull the cork on it's side? I'm very curious about how they work and would like to see one in action.

Re: What is lucky for you?
I've always heard bananas and boiled eggs on the boat were bad luck. Being superstitious to the point of obsessive compulsive, I always rub my dogs belly before a trip. If she's not there, I trim some belly hair to rub the am of the trip. Crazy, I know. There are a couple of lucky shirts also, the l...

St. Marks nearshore slam
Konrad and I dropped his boat in at the fort at 8:00 am (a little late for both of us, but his wife was supposed to go). The plan was to catch some pins and head out for a cobia or two. We headed to 8 ft grass and Konrad quickly started filling the livewell with his sabiki. He insisted I leave my pi...
Re: Oil booms
We were there yesterday, we saw one boom to the east of the channel. I don't know how big it was, but didn't look to be to big of a problem. I guess 1/4-1/2 mile from the shoreline. I think you should be able to get anywhere you need to go. Good luck

Re: St. Marks 7/3 7/4
Great report. I'm glad to hear of another circle city slicker fishing the area. Keep it up. Just out of curiosity, do y'all drive all the way from dothan that morning or do y'all come down the day before and spend the night.

If Lin isn't there, ask for Miles. He's also very knowledgable and friendly. Great service always, especially with warrantied rods. Walk in with a broken rod and walk out with a new one. Cost ranges from free to $15. Sweet deal

Re: Rod question
The m may stand for moderate not medium. I'm certainly no expert, but accidentally bought a custom rod with medium "power" but moderate action. I believe it has to do with where the rod bends. Fast action bends more near the tip and mod action bends towards the middle of the blank. I perso...

Re: Shrinkage
Another great thing about ice slush, if a fish is thrown in ice slush, her blood will be moved to her vital organs ( brain, heart and kidneys) and out of the flesh. Less blood in the muscle makes for a nice fillet. Better for hypothermia to kill them than hypoxia( lack of oxygen), also arguably more...
