Just curious......are you pronouncing that pee-can pie, or is it pa-con? You've probably got it figured out how we Southerner's say it. My cousin in Ontario says, "Isn't that a can you pee in?" I always just act like I don't get it.

There's always a bunch of traps on the docks at Econfina. We tried it over Labor Day. Had low country boil. It was good but they sure are alot of work for just a tad of meat. I'll have to give that stew a whirl.

That's right tin can. I fried mullet last night that I caught last Thursday. Hated to freeze 'em but my schedule wouldn't allow a quick clean-n-eat. Sho was fine!! Cheese grits, beer batter hush pups, fries, vidalias, sweet tea, and FRIED MULLET. Hope to catch some more next week.

I'm just happy someone's fishing. You're right. A few more weeks, but it's killin' me not to go. Trying to get some browny points in with the wife. She'll be a widow every weekend from Oct. to Feb.!! Dang I love this time of year!

If you have ONE good fall fishing trip you'll say to heck with deer season! It's very addictive. Anybody seeing any mullet? I hope they bunch up in the Aucilla again this year.

Mr. JW sounds like a good fella. I'm gonna pull my boat over and let him measure and give me a firm estimate. Right now he's $700.00 cheaper than the lowest bid I have. He says he has some pics of his work and will stand behind it 100%. Now I've gotta come up with the $$.

Is everyone waiting on cooler weather or just the weekend? I'm gonna wait a few weeks. Gotta get the deer stands out and in shape, hang the feeders and such. Got some dove fields to tend to as well. I guess the majority of us outdoorsy types are scurrying around taking care of these things. Best of ...
