Re: Wiring for Trolling Motor
I would go with standard battery cables since it is very close to your switch -- that way you have factory battery terminals on the cables and ANYTHING you add to the load side of the battery switch wouldn't require changing the wiring. In low voltage(12 volts) wiring, most of your future problems a...

Re: Ecofina 6/4-6/5
Water was still like coffee inshore, and water temperature was around 80 degrees, rivers was 76 degrees indicating plenty of fresh water still running out. Plenty of bait around. No grass, seas flat...SHOWBOAT wrote:nice reports guys. what was the water color?

Re: Ecofina 6/4-6/5
I fished Ecofina yesterday, put in about 7:15 AM and ran towards the Aucilla targeting Redfish. Saw all kinds of top water action so started out with a top water plug. Quickly I was hooked up -- jack ! Next cast, another jack!! Jack after jack --they were everywhere!! As I looked around, they were e...

Re: Econfina Topwater Slam -- 5/26/14
Thanks for the report, nice fish! Funny how people just don't consider basic common courtesy while on the water? Just takes one incident to spoil your day!

Re: Spoon fed Reds 5-20-14
The minimum size red, in my opinoin should be 22 inches, can't see killing a fish smaller because the yield on a redfish is similar grouper. Even this 24 inch fish is "just" enough for two portions. An 18 inch red, will not yield enough for one person.. Just my $.02. .

Re: Spoon fed Reds 5-20-14
Got in the water around 8:00 AM and was suprised at the large number of trailers in the parking lot!! I knew i only had an hour of any decent current to fish in. Ran North and found the water dark, like weak coffee!! Water temperature was 76. Started off using a spoon, and didn't produce any hits, p...

Re: Seafoam
Over ten years ago, when Seafoam first came out, my local lawnmower repair owner told me his secret. He said about 80 percent of his two cycle repairs were carburetor problems caused by the effects of ethonal. He had a special container of fuel that had twice the recommended amount of two cycle oil(...

Re: Dog Island Spanish
Now the thing i never liked about Spanish is that they are a "fatty" fleshed fish, meaning they are "fishy tasting". My buddy told me a little secret about them, and i tried it -- it works. Take a fresh(same day) Spanish and fillet it like a dolphin. Re: lightly cut through the s...
