Re: Here's how I power load my boat. Not legal in some place
My trailer has rollers. If I don't leave the motor in gear and running just above idle the boat rolls back off the trailer. I've never thought of it as dangerous. I don't know why the guy in the video has to rev the engine like he does. It's a bunk trailer.

Re: pics of led/hid/halogen fog lights
I put a pair of these up on the tee top. They put out a lot of light and at 3" X 3" are hardly noticeable.

Re: DSL service in Carrabelle
Check to see if you can get Xfinity there. I recently got the internet only service installed in Medart for $19.99 intro for 12 months. No phone, no TV, and their slower version of internet, but I'm OK with the speed. Installation fee was $37.00. I also bought my own modem at wal-mart and saved $7 a...

Re: Crab/Shrimp Boil
http://store.jospices.com/crab-seasonings-seafood-spices-spice.aspx Those are all good crab seasonings. I use the #2 for steaming crabs. We don't boil them though, and we don't clean them before they go in the pot. We do a layer of live crabs in the steaming basket and then we put on the spice, then...

Re: To run fuel out or not in an outboard motor?
My concern with the oil in the gas has always been.....what is going to happen in the carburetor ports if the gas evaporates and leaves the oil behind? If that happens what is then going to keep the oil from hardening up? Some guys run the gas out and then pull the plugs and spray fogging oil into t...

Re: To run fuel out or not in an outboard motor?
My 2 stroke motors sit idle for 6 months at a time, then they get used for a couple of weeks and it's another 6 months in storage. I always run the gas out, and then I take the cover off and empty the filter jar. At that point I am hoping that they are bone dry. It seems to work for me. Also I use S...

Re: Prop repair & in need of a new prop
I have a 13.25 X 15 prop in like new shape I'd sell for $75 the next time I'm down that way. I put it on a yamaha 115 2 stroke thinking it would do better then a 17 pitch, but I was getting too many RPM's out of it.

Fished yesterday in the Chesapeake. We caught a few undersized reds with bluetails. So whatever causes it seems to be wide spread.

I had a Sears Ted William's 12 gauge pump. It's one of those gone things that I now wished I'd never gotten rid of.

Re: Anyone Tried Dig In Anchors?
I only have one power pole on my Hewes and I find that is enough. Most of the boats you see with two must have some kind of deal with PP or they just have a lot of money to burn. I have a stick it type pole on my War Eagle and it work great too. I could see where 2 could come in handy. The wind or ...

Re: Anyone Tried Dig In Anchors?
they look like they would work and they've been out on the market for a little while, my only concern would be where would you store the 8 foot poles for them to be out of the way... not just one pole but two. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd152/mcvlbound/P9160075.jpg The Parker has those enca...
