They are what keep the gator holes open. It's not a bad thing IMO. they also hold fish under and around them. They provide excellent dove roost too

I have never caught as many CC's on crickets as I did last yr fishing for bluegill at Talquin. Sure was fun on light weight brim gear.

The spec fishing has been on and off but there have been days when most boats got their limit. I talked to one of my retired friends yesterday and he got 18, most just bigger than the hand but some as big as what you caught.
