Re: Tucker Lake/Chaires Creek
Hahahaha grasscarp never fails. Thank you guys so much for your advice. I wouldn't be an angler if I wasn't curious about the fishing in an unknown body of water!

Re: Tucker Lake/Chaires Creek
Roadtrip and sosprey your photo and comment gave me a shimmer of hope. All Ive got is a bass raider with a freshwater trolling motor, so taking my boat in there is a fading dream. Ill at least fish the mouth of the creek first. Grasscarp your comments are going to humble me one day when I get stuck ...

Re: Tucker Lake/Chaires Creek
Both comments made me laugh. Thanks for the heads up! I found some posts about Chaires Creek and Tucker lake and pretty much everyone was laughing at it. So I am taking it as a place not really worth trying out at all. I will however try out the the end of Bald Point and try wading out there. Thanks...

Tucker Lake/Chaires Creek
I was just scouring over google maps for places to go wade/shore fishing with the family and noticed Tucker Lake/Chaires Creek in Bald Point State Park. Have any of yall had the chance to fish this brackish looking body of water?

Re: Piney Z water levels
***Update***
Piney Z water level was definitely down. Ended up catching a 1.2lb bass in the cypress trees, sapphire paddle tail worm texas rigged! Friend hooked a foot in a half gar on a top water, but lost it at the boat. Looking forward to the next time!

Re: Piney Z water levels
A couple friends of mine recently went back there with kayaks and caught some small bass. So there is life in there, however it is congested with plants that would clog a trolling motor if you tried to use a boat. Just from experience and from what other fishermen have told me I would recommend Pine...

Re: Piney Z water levels
Thanks for the heads up geib. I was out there 2 weeks ago in my bass raider and you could see the multiple water level rings on the cypress trees dropping. Almost brought a tear to my eye. I have never had any luck in the cypress trees. Bass would be blasting baitfish all around me in the trees and ...

Piney Z water levels
The work week is almost over, my dreams of fishing can finally come true soon!!! I just saw a post on talgov.com that mentioned that the paddling trails on lower lafayette are closed due to low water levels and vegetation congestion. I plan on hitting Piney Z this Saturday and was wondering if any o...
