I have four or five rods that have middle eyes missing. Is anyone set up to wind new ones on, ceramic if possible? Also, one rod has a smashed ferrule, male end. Get in touch with me at ygo2work@hotmail.com

Re: New to the Panacea area
If you have a smart phone with GPS you can download the Navionics map for the whole Big Bend area for about $10.50. It has depths, etc. You'll need either data time or a wireless server to download the map, selecting the Big Bend area, but when you're on the water it works without using the internet...

Re: Sheepshead in St George Island?
Did you catch any sheepies at St. George Island? I haven't been there, but I'd like to go there. I looked on Googlemaps and by the northernmost tip I guess it's the tip of land which borders the pass between St. Geo and Dog Island. In the highest resolution I couldn't see any bridge pilings sticking...

Re: A trip down memory lane for some folks
The Creek Chub Darter was a good, floating jerk bait. It and the Midge-Oreno caught plenty of largemouth for me back in Oklahoma ponds and lakes. The Dalton Special was the best bait for evening twilight for both black and white bass...still is probably about as good as anything people are currently...

Boat to Rent
I'd like to find a flats boat to rent as my kids are coming in for the holidays to Crawfordville, and I missed out on buying a nice one last week. So it would have to be a rental unless there's something for sale. Any help?

Re: Best Tides for St. Marks
Thanks for the info. Is the Newport Bridge the one where 98 crosses? Is the water salty that far upstream on the St. Marks River (only on a high tide)?

Best Tides for St. Marks
For bank fishing near the launch on the Crawfordville side of the river would any particular tidal condition be best? I thought maybe the last of an outgoing tide would be good, but with a north wind the water would probably be too fresh. Any help would be appreciated. I just moved here and haven't ...
