Re: Some Craigslisters
That's really sad but happens every day. On a different note I think Yeti should put serial numbers on all there coolers. It would be easier to press charges on these sales of stolen goods.

Re: How do you subdue sharks?
Illegal to use firearms or bangsticks. From the current FWC Saltwater Regs, Page 18, Recreational Gear: "Explosives, etc. Use of powerheads, explosives, chemicals or the discharge of firearms to kill or harvest marine life is prohibited in state waters." That's what I thought, no firearms...

Re: Ice Packs for coolers?
We use frozen juice bottles for our cooler bag. They are more rectangular then soda bottles, so more compact per say. Look around before you throw out stuff maybe you'll see a nice shaped thing for freezing, or dollar general for ice packs.

Re: Black sea bass
The are pugnacious that's for sure. I've brought them in just clamped on to a piece of bait way to big to swallow. The weather has been making getting out to 12' tough but I've caught a couple in 7' that I kept. I just don't remember them this thick a few years ago.

Re: Hear about the new cobia size?
I am happy with the bag and boat limits, and I think that will help quite a bit to increase the numbers. I don't go offshore and have yet to catch a legal cobia. So I think change the bag and boat and maybe bump the size a couple inches. Maybe try less and see how it works out instead of throwing th...

Black sea bass
In the last three years I have not seen the black sea bass this thick. They are everywhere we fish, tons of little terrors grabbing everything they can stuff in their mouths. They can stuff in an amazingly large chunk of fish, or large lure. I have managed a few legal ones but not many. Were they sh...

Hear about the new cobia size?
FWC is pretty close to changing the cobia size from 33" to 38". I agree with the commercial and quantity changes but I don't agree with the size change. I told them what I thought through the survey but I am pretty used used to my thoughts not making a difference. I think it;s great that t...

Re: registration numbers blacked out
I am curious. It takes an act of god and a judge to get information on a title on a boat or trailer without one. How is it that this is an issue unless they know someone dishonest in law enforcement? Of course criminals will be criminals. Better to be safe, but I am surprised, as I see that often.

Re: FWC annual scallop survey
I had been checking that link daily and they finally posted it Friday, but the woods n water has it in print, so why the delay? Doesn't look good, I would guess we are going to be in trouble next few years. These numbers and the fact they are sparse and spread out will really decrease the reproducti...

Re: FWC annual scallop survey
I asked last week and got the same answer. If they still don't have the numbers I wonder if they were counting in areas that had opened already? My main concern is that the per scallop count on a gallon of small scallops vs the count of a gallon of the normal sized ones during a normal year. Has any...

Re: Scallop Season
The biologist at the meeting said they breed over a wide range of late summer early fall. Also there has to be reasonable numbers left when they breed because of how they reproduce, just scattering it all in the water and hoping the eggs meet the sperm. We will see if this decision was a good one or...
