Re: Surprise Catch
I have some in my pond and catch them pretty regularly on topwater mini torpedos. Tons of fun on an ultralight and 6 lb test. Mine are only around 15 lbs though. They are also super wary fish so there is the technical challenge of sight fishing them. I keep trying to get one on the fly but I can’t g...

Just curious Gary. Do you prefer sit in or sit on top kayaks and why. I greatly prefer the sit on tops. Just feel safer but I feel like when you post yours they tend to be sit ins. Tight lines

Re: Eleuthera, Bahamas
Looks like an amazing time Benda. Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents on the bonefish. When I was in St Croix I had a lot of success catching bonefish on a very small buck tail jig in pink. It was about 1 1/2 inches long. Wasn’t sure what you had or how you were fishing but that was what I caug...

I agree with 8wt about the egg pattern. I have had luck with a white egg. It’s a little late but they will school up under my flowering cherry tree and eat the flower petals. I match the petals with the egg pattern. I also find a large hopper pattern on top works. I try to get it to just barely vibr...

Re: Cook What You Caught
Looks delicious. It also makes some of the best ceviche if you have not tried that yet as well. My buddy is a chef and turned me on to it. I’m always happy when I put a Spanish in the boat.

So there are gulp shrimp on sale for 4.77 right now. Good to know. I have found them to be very effective in our area. I like new penny personally. Anyone else want to talk fishing or post some nice fish they caught?

Couldn’t agree more. Very stylish, and Western Hemisphere you say. Sounds like a bargain.

Look at the phone in the picture. That is hilarious, and after calling out others on selling 90s junk.

Re: Aucilla River 11-29-18
Rainman and I saw one at the St Marks refuge 6 or 7 years ago. Stayed late catching reds off the bars. While driving out saw a nice 8 pt buck that almost ran into his truck. Then we had to run a big gator off the road. He was just chilling on the warm pavement. Then a panther crossed the road in fro...

Silver king,
With the prop baits is it literally just a start stop retrieve to induce strikes from trout? I always just thought walking the dog was the most effective top water for trout and reds and dismissed prop baits. I love a mini torpedo for bass! Just curious.

We could all spend time together fishing and have a great day. Politics are devisive. Why bring that into a place we all enjoy? Can we all please just thi...
