Re: St. Marks 12/5/14 and 12/6/14

Overnight lows in the 30s forecast for this week. Hopefully that will help.

St. Marks 12/5/14 and 12/6/14

Seems the fish are difficult to find right now with this weather. Launched out of the fort each day. Friday started in East River and fished the oyster bars. Didn't get any action until the tide was outgoing and at the mouth of the river. Boated two decent trout. Hit the St. Marks River above Shield...

Re: There are quail in WA too

The Yakima sure is beautiful. I've been on that road many times and have fished the Yak. WA is my home state. My aunt and uncle live in Cle Elum and own the Cottage Cafe restaurant.

Re: St Marks River Trout

Fished St. Marks River Sat, Sun, and today. Sat lots of trout, mostly shorts. Sun caught keeper red, black drum, trout. Today was super slow. Even ran out to the oyster bars toward the lighthouse without a single bite. Picked up two trout in the river around 16:30, only one was a keeper. All caught ...

Re: trolling motor batteries

Costco sells Interstate Batteries SRM-24 and SRM-27 with a different model number. I've had great performance from the 24 and at 70 something bucks, hard to beat.

Re: NOAA chart downloads

Thanks, Dubble! Pretty cool. Even better is to download Chart Navigator http://www.maptech.com/support/doc.cfm?docid=123&CFID=3597235&CFTOKEN=94703395 Then Download the whole Florida RNC database to view. http://www.charts.noaa.gov/RNCs/FL_RNCs.zip Then you can also load your waypoints into ...

NOAA chart downloads

I didn't know you could download NOAA charts free of charge and happened upon this today. Thought I'd share it. There's an interactive chart database and you can download pdf files of all the charts you want.

Re: St marks 7/23

Thanks for the report and congrats on the new boat. How far out were you when you hooked the amberjack? I haven't fished St. Marks since acquiring my new rig (15'6" Gheenoe Classic with 15hp Johnson)

Motorguide FW-FB 46# Trolling Motor *** SOLD ***

*** SOLD *** Have a Motorguide FW-FB 46# thrust trolling motor for sale. It's a cable operated unit. Was hardly used when I acquired it from original owner and I've only used it a few times, which is obvious by lack of scratches on the lower unit. It's bow mounted on my boat, which I've had in salt...

Re: Panacea July 12 & 13, 2014

I have not been in a couple of weeks- good to hear that the water is clearing up. This time of year I usually do better out in front of piney in deeper water. That's what my buddy was saying. He complained we were catching too many shorts because we were shallow. But, the weekend prior on Sun, we d...
