Adams Beach

Dad and I fished just North of Adams Beach today, getting there about 11 o'clock and fishing rising tide. Got a 22'' keeper 1st stop, missed a big one, then moved around in 2-3 ft. water and got 3 more keepers the next few hours. Bite was kinda slow, what we got was 50-100 yds. offshore. About 2 o'c...

SR. Glad you got to go out, even if the fish didn't cooperate. I wonder what's wrong with them? They should be out there. Maybe water's too cold. We did real good in the area just north of Rock Island last fall. We wanted to go tomorrow, but it's supposed to be blow'in pretty good down there. It was...

WTG, Birddog. Sounds like of the few boats that went today, you did best. Interesting that the big trout were about where you left them in January. And on the same bait. I hope we get to go later this week.

Nice catch. :D We talked about going to the lighthouse Sat. am also, but things didn't work out where we could. We went to the fishfry also, and had a great time. Now, we're itch'in to go trout fish'in, if this wind will ever lay. :D

advice on trolling for kings

Does anybody have any advice on getting started trolling for kings? I just bought a 17' boat and want to give it a try when it warms up a little. We know absolutely nothing about that type fishing, so any advice is appreciated. We just want to try something different.

Sounds like a lotta fun. How big were the sheepsheads? those snappers are worth the trip down there-doesn't matter if you keep them, they are fun to catch. Reckon where the trout got off to? As cold as it is, I figured the place would be full of them now.

Keaton

Rag,
I read a good report from Keaton today, 10 keepers caught below Spring Warrior. Don't know what bait they used, but the fish must still be biting there. Good luck if you go.

Has anybody ever fished the Carrabelle River?

I was wanting to know if anybody ever fished in the Carrabelle River in winter. It always looks good when driving over it. If anybody knows, I would appreciate some info. I haven't fished it since Iwas a kid. It looks like there should be something under the bridge.

Sir Reel, We fished mostly with green glitter-firetail grubs, white grugs, and hot-pink mirrolures. They seemed to like the green grubs best. We also tipped with shrimp. That helped a lot. It was fun, first trip out since October. We read your post about striper fishing. Sounded like lots of fun. My...

CS, Sounds like you need to keep crappie fishing. That report ain't bad. We just got back from St. George Is. and almost got skunked. It was real windy and we couldn't go out. Ended up with 1 small whiting and some small grunts. Lost a big trout and wife lost nice flounder. I guess that's the way so...
