Re: st marks boat ramp info
I launch my 18' Center Console from there a couple of times a week. There is a curb submerged at the back of the boat ramp that is a challenge at very low tides. I was there Sunday coming in about 10:30 and had to bump across that a bit to get to the trailer. Made it on and jumped out to help a gent...

This mornings St. Marks "fish story"!
Me and my son drop the boat in at the lighthouse just before sun up. Two throws of the cast net and enough bait fish to last the day. Run to the flats East of the lighthouse and start running bait under corks. Shark here, catfish there……Drift out into deeper water just because nothing happening at 4...

St. Marks 9/1
Got to Jerry's at 6:30 just as the lights were coming on to pick up shrimp. Dropped the boat in the water at the light house right at safe light. Looked like large schools of bait fish right at the ramp and with 1 throw of the 6' cast net, had enough bait to fill the live well. Headed out to the mou...

Re: Trailer repair assistance
If you don't want to rebuild the existing hub, run down to West Marine or Academy Sports and pick up a replacement hub manufactured by C.E. Smith. Slides right back on the spindle and you are back up and running. Total cost is $35-$40. Any questions, watch a youtube video. Theres a thousand of them ...

Onefishtwofish, How old is your nephew? The reason I asked is because I am a Shriner and I know with burns that serious, it can take years of treatment. If he is under 18, I would be happy to help him get help from the Shriners Hospitals for Children. No cost to the family and best care available. &...

Re: Trailer question?
Thanks for the guidance. New hubs on and all seems to be fine. I fish 3 or 4 times a week so Im thinking I need to pull maintenance on the bearings at least twice a year! I would tell all my Bigbendfishing friends that if you don't have trailer tow service, you should. Only costs a few bucks to add ...

Re: Trailer question?
Thanks for the replies. Im assuming the spindle doesn't have to be "smooth as glass"? Obviously the smoother the better but small scratches that don't effect the race from seating on the spindle shouldn't effect anything?? YES-NO? Thanks again!

Trailer question?
Gentlemen, Need some advise please. Coming back from the Lighthouse on Monday I smoked a wheel bearing. Made a call to my boat tow service and 10 minutes later my boat and trailer are being loaded on a flat bed and taken back to my house. Picked up two new hub kits (gonna change one, better change t...
