Looking at tides there tomorrow I'd say probably launch about 10:15-10:45 and ease out the river. Anytime later in day easily come and go in river. 98 towards Perry, cross Aucilla River and JR's store on right for bait and gas. Hwy. 59 right to Econfina. There's also a store which has gas and someti...

New MAP76 built in basemap of coastline between Aucilla and Rock Island is really poor. After transferring all my points stored in the old 12XL
is reads better simply because I'm familiar with points.
Hope that helps!
I'm moving up to BlueChart quickly!

Used Garmin 12XL for several years.
Santa moved me up the ladder of technology with MAP76 and
so far I love it. Builtin background map not real accurate but so far no problems.

Finally something I have lots of experience doing! I prefer the front end between the guide poles I bought last year and put on the trailer. When I forgets to move the rod holders and they slam the upright PVC covers everyone within hearing distance turns to watch. :smt010 With enough throttle they ...

replacing Zebco's with anything other than newer Zebco's?

Surely that's at least a felony offense! :-D

I just got an Advanced Angler AGM combo style from Cabela's.
It is the heaviest battery for its size I've ever seen. I've got it in a battery box and made some cables so I can use it for backup to
main tolling motor battery and the cranking battery which are on opposite ends of boat.

Fisherfolks very friendly in fog!

Fished east of Econfina this past weekend in fog. One major observation: people are much more friendly when you pass by them in the fog.... they just wave and wave ! :-D Fished toward Rock Islands in creeks on incoming tides and caught some nice trout on mirrolures. Basically caught fish everywhere ...

warm weather

In this sustained warmer weather pattern where would you
esteemed experts expect to find trout?
Creeks, flats?
Any ideas appreciated!
