Re: Yates Creek
I'm going to do my best here... but there are SO many resources out there to get this yourself. Heck, go to Google Maps, find Yates Creek, click at the mouth, and there you have it - displayed for all your pleasure. CLICK HERE and get some practice in. a whole lot of stuff to learn around the area....

Re: Scalloping boat driving etiquette rant!!!
Two year ago had some idiot in a Sea Hag rental run between my boat and some of my people in the water on plane. I'm yelling, waving and making every gesture imaginable and he finally looks up and just waves, oblivious. I needed words with him but never saw him again.

Re: Wouldn't really call it a scallop report..
Econfina about a mile and a half out the mouth at 11 o clock. Limits both days and not crowded. I'm done for a couple of weeks tired of cleaning so I don't care if there is extra traffic from this post. Your welcome.
Re: Scallops
I hopped on today while fishing. They were thick. Should have a quick limit tomorrow.

Re: Wade in scallops
Another place is the little beach in Keaton. I've never waded but I've found some this side of the channel markers. You should be able to get out there pretty good on low tide. I wouldn't expect any banner hauls without a boat no matter where you go though.

Re: Scalloping Saturday ???
Oh yeah. They have bathrooms, a little ramp, a picnic table or two and a little observation tower. No one really launches from there except for small Jon boats. The whole cove is shallow and usually holds some scallops.

If I were wading, I'd go to Hagan's cove.Hit-n-Miss wrote:I've scalloped in front of the condos at Keaton. May go there from the beach.Toonfisher wrote:I'm going to st Mark's. First time there. Usually go to Keaton. I hear st joe park is a good place to wade for scallops

Power Pro Question.
I'm just curious on everyone's opnion on the new slick line vs the original. I've fished with both and I think I prefer the original because I feel it is more durable. Talking to my father and he likes the new slick stuff because it says it cuts down on wind knots. Just seeing what you all think.

Re: Fishing St. Augustine
Thanks for the input. I know there are a handful of ramps around and I'll probably do my best to check out as many areas as the wife will allow on our vacation.

Fishing St. Augustine
I'm going to St Augustine for the week next week and I'm going to take my boat. I've done some reading online about fishing the area but I have not nor has anyone I know. I'm just wanting to do some inshore/backwater fishing and any general information as far as which landing you prefer or tides or ...
