My friends and I targeted the fish in state waters is south of Carrabelle. While going over some of our old grouper spots it seemed that the ledges and rocks were much mor...

Chirp Chirp

:smt009 Sure is quiet around here. Like zero activity. :smt009 Man we need some fishing (or hunting) reports. The headline to this thread, chirp chirp, made me think we were going to talk about chirp transducers. I would love to post another fishing report, but I haven’t had a chance between work a...

Re: Carrabelle Red Snapper, Gag Grouper, & Underwater Pictures

Personally I think day length has a bigger effect, but I'm primarily inshore fishing. Those underwater shots are awesome! Thanks. The water out deep is a little murkier than it has been in the past. Maybe there is still a bit of sediment in the water from the hurricane. Sent from my Pixel 6 using T...

Carrabelle Red Snapper, Gag Grouper, & Underwater Pictures

On Friday, I picked up my boat from Big Bend Marine, in Perry, where I had it serviced. This was just in time to get some old friends together to target red snapper and gag grouper on Saturday. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230924/6818365682f0ec76cd231d0adc7effe2.jpg We departed Carrabelle and ...

Apalachicola: Targeting Vermilion Snapper & Scamp Grouper

Everyone says that scamp grouper inhabit waters deeper than 200 ft. So that’s where we headed on yesterday’s trip out of Apalachicola. We made it about two-thirds of the way to the area we wanted to explore, but we decided to stop and fish in 140 ft. while waiting for storms further out to dissipate...
