Fantastic.
Wind should die down on Saturday and Sunday. Hoping for some trout & sheepshead in the St. Marks then.

Re: ST Marks NWR - 16 Dec 2018
Fished the refuge again today - wind was a little stronger than forecast so I went to the east instead of the west - tried to paddle 'inside' in the creeks and coves to avoid the wind but the north wind was blowing the water out, so it got a little tricky. Ended up fishing a few of the cove mouths ...

Beautiful November Saturday- St. Marks
Started around 1130, and hearing that all the trouts were off the flat, we started in the river. Due to lack of skill, bait, and good oyster bed charts, we had no bites after nearly an hour, so we headed into the bay to try some hard bottom. We fished paddle tails and gulps, and ended up with a keep...

St. Marks 11-3
Hit the water about 11, and even though the wind was pushing 10knots, it was from the Northeast, so the bay remained relatively calm. However, the wind was still pushing us at a 1knt+ clip. Fished the west flats for trout, using popping corks and shrimp, gulps and DOA. Pretty slow bite, but we ended...

Shell Island Fish Camp is open for some business.
No rooms, and no gas, but they do have bait.
If you keep your boat there, they are launching and storing...

Re: Serious debris west of lighthouse
That last pic with the sailboat is a interesting (pathetic) story. That along with a 20+ foot older walkaround were left tied up to the owners dock as if no storm was coming. No prep or attempt to move them whatsoever. Saw it left as it always was when I was clearing my dock. I told my old lady abo...

Here's the TowBoat US crew attempting to dislodge a well grounded sailboat yesterday on the Wakulla.
I'm not sure how the project went, but it looked like a pretty difficult job.
