Dolphin? Really? I thought it was too shallow for them!

SGI Late July

I'm planning on being in SGI for a week in late July, thanks to COVID canceling everything else.

I'll have a house with a dock ( hopefully ) and can troll for kings, anything else happening offshore at that point besides bottom fishing?

Feel free to PM, thanks

Re: Recommendations - Spot lock trolling motor

I have a 24v system with a 60" shaft, and it works in anything below 15mph winds and 1' seas. If I did it over, I'd want a 72" shaft for better rough water holding power.
My boat is 23' with a tower, so it catches wind pretty well.

Offsho' in May

I was hoping to make it out further, but the clouds looked dangerous this morning, so we opted for closer offshore, but as the day turned out, we could have gone further out. Nonetheless, we had a great day catching fish and having fun! We picked up some bait at first, although we struggled keeping ...

Re: Forum Member Spotted I Think

We came right by you guys pretty close in a blue and white Skeeter. I see why you spend so much time on the water your boat is a beast. Super Nice ! I don't remember, but there were a LOT of boats out there that day! Skeeters are great boats, I had two before the Dorado, and would buy one again.

I was east on Saturday, but probably at least 2 to 3nm south west of Cobb.

Hope I was behaving!

Re: Flounder Management Options

FWC’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute recently completed a flounder stock status update that indicates the flounder fishery statewide has been experiencing a general declining trend in recent years and, on the Atlantic coast of Florida is likely overfished and undergoing overfishing. Based on ...

Re: Traffic Jam at Lanark Boat Club

The boat was coming back from SW of the dog Ballard area, and even 5nm away, water depths remain 25 to 30. The bends seems unlikely, but a free diving accident, possibly.

Re: St Mark’s 5/23

We also fished 5/23 and hit up the inshore first, with short trout and a puffer to show for it. We picked up a few pinfish ( not enough! ) and headed offshore. We arrived at some public numbers to see some VERY sketchy people out there, most notably @fishin chris who hooked up to something large 5 m...
