Spring Creek 1/25/2020
All I've seen lately on the forum has been for sale and wanted ads, so like Juan, figured I'd do my best for a fishing post. With a negative tide around 0630, we waited to launch around 1000. We had plenty of water and noticed to the creek mouth where we limited out a couple weeks ago. We soaked liv...

Re: Mandatory Boating Safety Course Proposed
Everybody is required to have a license to drive a car, but I still see a lot of idiots on the road. PLEASE give me ONE more thing to do, ONE more fee to pay, etc.

Re: Spring Creek 12-22-2020
If I remember correctly, gulf temp was 54 or so. It would have been warmer in the creek because of the springs. I don't have any electronics on the skiff. I'm heading out next week as well to give it another shot. Good luck, let us know how you did.

Spring Creek 12-22-2020
I took my father in law fishing yesterday. We put in at Spring Creek around 7am. High tide was supposed to be at 0750, but you couldn't tell by the way the bars were showing at the mouth. We decided to anchor down next to a bar and fished live shrimp under a cork. All was quiet for the first 20 minu...

My son is coming home on leave from the navy the 21st of the month. He's my fishing and hiking buddy. Can't wait.

Re: St Marks-late report 10-19/20
I went out east of you from Spring Creek Tuesday morning and posted my report. About the same, slow fishing and windy. We came in around 1pm with a couple trout and a flounder. Good times.

Spring Creek 10-26-2020
Saw the tides were going to work for us today. We'd be fishing the rising tide all morning until a later after noon. I wanted to throw the cast net a little, so we started throwing in some holes in the creek at first light. Nada. We hooked and lined around the bars outside the creek a little, throwi...

Re: Spring Creek 10-14-2020
The water seemed to be clearer than previous in some spots. We did run into some floating grass deeper and had to move in some.Redbelly wrote:A good day! What was the water color? We went out of ecofina tuesday and it was black coffee over to rock island

Spring Creek 10-14-2020
Father in law and I launched from Spring Creek yesterday around 9am. We had a low tide at 7, so we enjoyed an extra cup of coffee and took our time heading out. The weather was beautiful. The wind was just enough to create a nice ripple on the water. We fished the rising tide with plenty of water in...

Ditto, great report. The kids are grown and moved off now, but I sure miss fishing with them. Great memories.

Re: Crystal River help
I don't know anything about lodging in the area, but fished there last month. We had a great time fishing the channel markers and spoil islands. We got into cobra, flounder, grunts and BSB. Good luck!
