Be afraid...very afraid

Ran down to Lake Jackson to wet a line this morning. Managed to catch a decent sunburn. Other than that, managed one largemouth that would have made good bait. The wind was nasty and had me and my canoe doing doughnuts. It was pretty tough; but, better than sittin' at home.

I tried the new Stren Super Braid last weekend. No luck with the fish; but the line seemed to work fine. I was ripping a spinnerbait through some pretty nasty stuff and I still have my spinnerbait.

Put a small trolling motor on my canoe and hooked it up to an old battery I had. Mainly, I was just testing that out. Went over to Lake Munson. I'd never been there before and just wanted to check it out. Didn't have much luck. Caught one SMALL bass and had a couple of bream play with my lure. Hope ...

Noticed that Angler has updated their website (http://www.anglerboats.com). The new 173 that I had mentioned in now included. Drove down to the Newport park just goofing off today. That's the Sea Pro; but, the Angler has been updated. Not sure exactly what the differences are other than it's a little larger. Evidently, it's new enough that it hasn't even made the catalog or internet yet.

Went and did a little boat shopping today. Saw a couple of boats I liked...the new Angler 173 and the Sea Pro 1700. Both seemed like a decent amount of boat for the $$.
