St. Marks 4/9

Was able to drag out of the office about 1100 and on the water by 0130. Convinced that I need ballast in the front of the boat. Probably looked like I was trying to position for blast off or something :smt017 . Anyway I got practice running 15 'rude and the 12' deepvee in moderately choppy water. Wh...

Tide, It's obvious that we have the same M-I-L!
I do call her the  death rock so it'll be hard to tell her apart from the ones in the water. She's really not that bad - but just like those little nibblers that eat your bait, she just wont go away....

nolester, If you ever get to the point of not appreciating your 13 foot boat, you can go fishing with me in the 12 foot deepvee. I don't think the cobia, specks, or spanish know the diff! I too have never caught a cobia, but will use the pinfish ala drift next time I go! Anyone have the secret to c...

wevans, ' been looking for a spinning reel and this might be it. What does everyone say as to the model/capacity? The 4000 is 220 yds of 12 lb, 5000 is 220 yds of 16 lb, and the 6000 is 220 yds of 20 lb.

For general flats fishing is the 16 lb OK?

I called Discount to find out about a small 4.80 X 8 - $20 mounted. This is about 2 doz. shrimp cheaper than buying the wheel and tire from Wally.

I agree SR. I hit a City Streets department special patch job on St. Augustine at KFC on Saturday when returning from the LH with one tire and discovered it flat on Sunday (accused wife of flattening it). So I'm off to Wally World tonight to reequip with new one. I had replaced the other wheel and t...

Sir, That just seems not very fair. Some of us have to stay at least a couple of hours just to get in the groove. Here you and the Hog make it look too easy - but what a way to do it. Good times.

Thanks for the report BIG. For us newer guys we can begin to get a good picture at how sporatic or consistent the fishing is.

I fished the EQ on Thursday without much success but found the CT prompted the fish yesterday - I don't know if it was the cork alone, but add it to your files.
