Re: All the New Fishing Regulations
How would you like it if the National Forests were managed by folks that owned logging companies and paper mills? Then our National forests would probably be in better shape than they are and they definitely would reduce the forest fire risk. I don't think that we are comparing apples to apples. Th...

What's does a blown cylinder mean? This is a V-4 and one cylinder needs the rings replaced and the cylinder sleeve honed out or what?

Re: Keaton Beach 3-6, stormy.
The wind did the same thing to us at Econfina yesterday. One minute it was fine.....the next we had this :o http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd209/twheeler52/P1160074.jpg The picture doesn't really do the wind justice.....probably was blowing steady at 20-25 with higher gusts.. Glad you guys made...

Re: TORNADO at KEATON
Up here in Mayo, about 25 mi. NE of Keaton, we were hunkered down from the reports of a tornado at Keaton, but by the time it got here, it was just a bunch of rain and not an abnormal of wind for a good sized thunderstorm - lucky us ! I am glad nobody was hurt down there in Keaton.

Re: Keaton Beach 3-6, stormy.
Had the same thing happen to us out of Suwannee River mouth a couple of weeks ago. Eerie. Marine forecast said 2-3 feet and going to 1-2 feet in the afternoon. Sure it was. We got out 5 miles and it started getting so rough we turned around, and then found that the wind from the West was really kick...

Re: Looking for a decent running 90 - 120 hp outboard.
A friend has a 90 Merc...3 years old...minimal hours...excellent maintenance. He is upgrading to a 150. If interested p.m. me for details. Location Tallahassee. Thanks JT51  , but I don't think I can afford a motor that new for my old river boat. I am working with another forum member on a...

Re: Fish finders
I'm in the market for a new fishfinder, too. My old one is showing me fish that aren't there and I can't get a good reading on what type of bottom is under me. About all I can depend on it to tell me is how deep I am. My budget is best-bang-for-the-buck at less than $200.

CANCEL ! Looking for a decent running 90 - 120 hp outboard.
Thanks for all the replies both on the forum and PMs on my search for a motor. I have decided to dump the free boat and buy a decent boat/motor combo for the river here. Actually the wife told me to quit screwing around trying to save money and get a real boat   -- I just can't arg...

Thanks for the help, guys  . We would have certainly been out there doing the illegal shuffle if youall had not been keeping a watch out. The FWC web site also notes that only federal waters are closed to groopah, not inshore FL water. http://myfwc.com/whatsnew/07/statewide/gulfgrouperclose...

Well, first, let me say that if you go to a grouper hole 15 miles out, You had better be prepared to pay a hefty fine, as grouper season is closed past 9 miles until March 15th....... Dubble  What he said. I appreciate the head's up, but where are youall getting this information? I checked...

Horseshoe Beach navigation
Anybody got any tips on running out the channel at Horseshoe Beach? If the seas calm down enough Tuesday, then I am going out from there for the first time -- to a (hopefully :-D ) grouper hole about 15 miles out. Is that channel as tight as it looks on the chart ? And, I have been down there and se...

Re: Ford F-250 2WD
Still looks like a real good truck, but I have decided to keep the Supercrew that I have now, since we usually take 4 people on the boat for bluewater fishing.
Good luck selling it, I think that if other forum members take a close look at what you are offering here someone should snap it up !!
