Re: Once A Spike........?
Meant to add. Didn't want to give impression I was the reason for better management. I don't know much at all about deer hunting and usually only take 1-2 deer a year (does preferrably). The guy who has the lease has been good at ensuring we are trying to manage the deer.

Re: Once A Spike........?
Been getting a few pics/sightings of spikes on our hunting land. Is there any truth to the statement that "once a spike, always a spike?" http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa108/rcwilson_album/20nov2011005.jpg Many studies that disprove that statement. IMHO, that spike is 1.5 years old, ...

Re: Once A Spike........?
My buddy shot two already that were the same size (body weight). Got a feeling we should have been doing more culling.

Re: Birthday
Happy Birthday Marines! I'm tipping a cold one back to all my fellow Marines (past and present) that served our Country and our Corps. Early tomorrow, I'll be sitting in a cold deer stand until after the mid-day feeding time and will be reflecting on the many lessons I learned over the years....

Re: Shimano Stradic CI4
Thanks everyone. I like my Stradic FI's. Noticed they are being offered at a $20-$30 discount at either Bass Pro or Cabela's (can't recall which). Am in debate whether to pick up another FI and save some $ or go for the CI4. Might go with extra couple dollars and get the CI4

Is anyone using the CI4 - if so, any feedback on this reel? Thinking of buying one.
Thanks in advance.
