Re: Think someone made a Freudian slip...
Thanks for those kind words. Yep, you found her alright! I was aboard from 1960-1962. We took a 49 degree down angle but no major damage. She had done that twice before I came aboard. The man in manuvering room that saved the ship that last bad dive was aboard the same time I was. He was a good old ...

You and me makes two!
Where will this end!
Even though I was a submarine sailor, I thank you and all the other Marines for your service.

Better than me and my wife did last Friday!
Secret to catching fish. Fish three days! That will cover the day before, ("they were really biting yesterday"), today and the next day, ("they bite the next day"). Other wise just enjoy being there when you could.

Ron: This reel just came out sometime around last September, I think? I bought one! Got taken in by the advertisment. It is a good reel but also bought a Shimano Stradic 4000FI reel. I like the Stradic much better. Two reasons is that the Stradic come with an extra spool, and has a switch that takes...

CSMarine: Great catch for the conditions. I know for we were there! We only caught two undersized trout. Wanted to poke around inside the Spring Warrior area but winds so bad we didn't chance it. Shore hopped from Keaton to SW and back. Wind just right to blow us back toward the shore. Saw lots of m...

Bigblister that was a good report! Thanks for the pictures also. We like fishing north of Keaton at the mouth of Spring Warrior. :D Last time, March 12, fishing it was also muddy. :( We got totally skunked that day. :smt011 We had our three year old granddaughter aboard which made a good d...

Re: Gather round Boys and Girls... FUEL GAUGE QUESTION
Tin Can nailed it! I had mine to stick inside the tank on the full position. I would think after taking it out and replacing with a new one and not having a full tank that this would not be your problem. If you don't have a volt meter, seem it would work to take it out of the tank, hook everything u...

Re: Lake Talquin
We've never fish at night. This could be the missing element? You are rigged with lights? If you smelled them, then they are bedding. That is good news! With all the fresh water and funny weather it wouldn't suprise me if they didn't bed.
Thanks for the information!

Lake Talquin
We are new to this forum and need advice on fishing Lake Talquin for crappie. The moon is right but are the fish? We usually launch our boat at Williams Landing and have seen crappie caught near the Eagle's Nest. We caught some in the deep channel out from the landing in February. Also went up in Li...
