Re: Ford F-250 2WD

Thanks but an E-350 van is a little too big. I had one before which was the base for a Coachman motor home.

Re: Ford F-250 2WD ***NOT FORSALE****

I have come to my senses and decided to keep my truck. I have been truck shopping for about a week now and the prices are unbelievable. No way I could never replace it for what I have invested in it. I would imagine she has another 19 years left in her. Well, I certainly understand you keeping it. ...

Re: Ford F-250 2WD

A picture or 2 would be nice Chugbug - I am not sure what a regular cab F-250 looks like. I need a good truck to pull my boat down to the Gulf.

Re: Question on Wiring of GPS to VHF (DSC) radio

Mook, you are a benefit to the forum in two important ways: 1) you are from the south but you can read. 2) and you actually read the manuals ! I will take a good look at the 402 manual, now that I know what I need to know is in there. Thanks   And I will let you know how it worked ...

Stretch 25's, 30's and Rapala CD14's are the baits of choice. Thanks for the info, Tom. About what lb. test of leader and how much leader length would you run on these? We were going to try Steinhatchee Reef, first. Don't know if any grouper are holding there, but hope to find out. 4-5 feet of 60-8...

Re: Question on Wiring of GPS to VHF (DSC) radio

What radio do you have? If it has a LCD readout, when you get the GPS hooked up, you can hit a button and see your coordinates on the radio itself. I have an ICOM 402. It has a DSC button and a red Emergency button. From what you are saying, is I can hit the DSC button and see if it the coordinates...

Re: Question on Wiring of GPS to VHF (DSC) radio

Experience...hrm...well...many years working on computers, small electronics, and the like. The line connected to the dot in the center and the other line connected to the outside ring like I think I'm seeing in your ICOM manual are international standard schematics labeling - the line to the solid...

Re: Question on Wiring of GPS to VHF (DSC) radio

If I'm reading your diagram correctly in my squinting, you want the NMEA Out on the Garmin to the center pole of the RCA cable for the ICOM, and the NMEA In on the Garmin to the outer wire of the RCA jack to the ICOM. The other two pins on the Garmin connector (+/-) are for powering the GPS and not...

Re: Question on Wiring of GPS to VHF (DSC) radio

Can you lighten and enlarge your diagram? Here is a somewhat better pic - I hope you can read it. These point & shoot cameras are hard to use for close up work or at least mine is. And thanks  for helping. The GPS (signal sender) is the diagram on the left. The ICOM 402 radio (signal r...
