Re: Lanark 7/16

I was just at Lanark over the 4th holiday. We stay at a house on the water just east of Ho Hum every year. I have always had good success from just west of Ho Hum on toward Carrabelle from there. Lots of depth/grass changes in the area. Not many people fish there, which makes it even better.

I like the more elongated frogs to use the walk the dog retrieve. I also remove the rubber/silicone skirt-ma...

Re: Lanark 6/24

JeffB, I won't be there until Friday. I want to try Dog Island Reef, (weather permitting) because I've never fished it and many spots I found last year between Lanark Market and the west end of Dog Island. It looks like it ought to hold a bunch of fish anytime. I'm also bringing my little jon boat t...

Re: landark and port st joe fishing

From Lanark Market, go west. Fish the grass and depressions towards Carrabelle from where the channel turns south toward Dog Island. Float a piece of cut-bait on a fairly heavy rod out the back of your boat in that area. There are lots of big toothy critters there for a little added excitement. I'll...

Vudu soft plastics

Anybody tried Vudu soft plastics for trout/reds? I've heard some good things about them from a couple of friends that fish the Ga. coast.

Re: Grilling fish????

Marinate for a few hrs. in Zesty Italian dressing. Sprinkle on some Old Bay & Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning, grill directly over coals. Brush on mixture of fresh lemon juice, butter & any other spices you like.
