I saw this report when I logged on a bit this morning, and got back on tonight just to say.... Wow what a sheephead [sheepShead?] you got there! Wow! I have NEVER caught one of those, and am likely to get into spearfishing just to do that! And of course the red... Well, I am just going to hav...

Were you in the Alligator Harbor? I used to catch a lot of nice trout wading in there, but in recent years not so many. I was thinking maybe they up and left! Now that they've fenced off my old spot, I have tried another a couple months ago, but no luck.... I hope the trout are in there, along 98!

Mmmmmm.... those sea bass are good eatin'! Trigger fish are too, I hear; just a little tough to clean.

I had a buddy tell me he went out Sunday and the sea bass were bitin' for him, too. Must be they were just ready for ya!

St. Marks Preserve By Bicycle

Yesterday, after a six-day-work week and chores in the morning, I left the house after 3 PM to go fishing. I was desperately needing some sunshine! I made up a small backpack and loaded up my bike and went by myself to check out those dikes in the St. Marks Preserve, on the coast north of the rock g...

Y'all are mighty nice... and man am I lucky for that. As it turns out, one of our rock-steady number, who didn't post in this thread but his screen name rhymes with "beer man," had a cord that he could give me, one he got for free but which he didn't need; and so he gave it to me! :...

Thanks Tom! I can come get it, and would do so of course. Do you know what? One of the board's regulars messaged me and--as Granny used to say "I ain't believin' this"--he has one sent to him by Garmin by accident and they told him to KEEP it! He has no use for it! hahaha.... We will see i...
