Re: Ochlockonee Bay
I fished Levy Bay yesterday from the canoe and paddled up on a huge school of reds and black drum tailing at an oyster bar. Threw everything I had in my tackle box and they didn't want what I was offering. I actually false hooked a 20ish pound black drum by the tail while working a jig but then lost...

Panacea/Dickerson Bay 3/5
On spring break this week so I took a Texas-born med school buddy of mine to do some fishing around Panacea. We caught a 4lb sheepshead on the first drop (he was HUGE), about 30 undersized silver trout, 2 keeper speckled trout, and a 15" flounder. The flounder and trout fried up real nice and t...

Considered putting in at Bald Point too, but we got real lazy with wanting to tie the canoe up to the Civic and driveDixieReb wrote: Sounds like a fun day. Unless you just want to paddle a lot, you can launch from Mashes Sands ramp and it's a lot closer to where you were fishing.

Panacea/Ochlockonee Bay Canoe Fishing 5/20
Went out canoe fishing in Ochlockonee Bay a few days ago with an old friend of mine. We paddled from the boat ramp near the bridge all the way to Bald Point and back. We fished gulps on jigs and under corks at creek mouths with a few small reds, a lot of catfish, and a few small flounder, but nothin...

Re: Lucky Cobia Charms
Blue spinner, it was a pleasure meeting you as well! I hope you can get out on the water soon.
And hand-on-the-bible serious, I've caught a cobia EVERYTIME I've been out with you BBG. You've done your fair share of wish-granting, that's for certain

Re: 1st Hog Ever. 225lbs
Yup, saved the skull, stripped as much meat off as I could, and he's now buried in the backyard w/a flag marking his location. I'll dig it up after a few months and we'll see how it turns out. Anybody have any tips on how to make the skull pearly white after burial? I've read that peroxide is the wa...

Go with a St Croix Tidemaster, I had a Mojo for years and traded it in + cash for a Tidemaster and it's been fantastic. The Tidemaster is also made in USA
