They have been catching them at the spillway on HWY 90 Lake Miccosukee. You can also fish off of the basin damn on the North end at Reeves landing.

Be careful and choose your kit wisely. A buddy put a 14hp on a Swamprunner kit frame and it's on a 14' v hull fiberglass boat and it will only run 8-9 mph. The prop won't stay in the water, keeps rising and blowing out. There is not metal fin/guide on the shaft and it will give you a heck of a work ...

you can shoot dove any day of the week in season on the lakes and you can shoot lead shot on the lake as well. Do not have any duck decoys/gear with you. I got an email from FWC stating this but I was told if I was an ethical hunter I would shoot steel for dove.
