If you live in the Buck Lake Road area.........
The hail damage inflicted to that area has been a lot more extensive than originally thought. There are "storm chaser" type outfits roaming the neighborhoods and getting residents to sign "roofing and property damage contracts" using high pressure tactics. If you want an honest o...

Cleaning Sheepshead, reds, other armored fish
I once heard a wise man say
All you need to clean sheepshead is a line
My favorite line is:
You clean the sheepshead and I'll clean the boat
I've cleaned fish with all types of knives. Anyone have any thoughts on knives?
Electric vs manual
Blades that hold a better edge?

Re: Johnson Parts
Went to Porters in Woodville. They didn't carry the filter I needed, but found one in perfect condition on a blown motor in their yard and gave it to me. They seem like really good folks and will definitely get all my service business in the futute

Re: Will rainwater mess up fishing?
The redfish bite was on fire yesterday(Sunday). We caught about a dozen slot fish in a couple of hours. I always like the late winter rains. Seems to push the fish out of the rivers and get everything primed up for the spring.

Ski Barge Retool(ongoing project)
I recently bought an 80's model Kenner Fishin' Ski Barge. It's the 17' Flats Fisher model with a tunnel hull. Figured it'll be an upgrade for getting my father in law and also my kids out on the flats in lieu of my kayak. I really like this model boat and thought it would be a worthy candidate as a ...

Re: Sport fish status for trout, reds means catch and releas
I don't mind the proposed "Game Fish" status. I think it's a comeback on the state's part to protect speckled trout by way of redesignation. Current laws allow for the commercial fisherman to take 75 per day and 150 per boat by net. Seems like a lot to me. Maybe my fishing skills have dimi...

WTB 17-20' skiff
I'm looking to buy a boat for my father-in-law. Something basic will do in the $4-$8 K range. We are looking for something stable with plenty of flat floor space (carolina skiffish) . Please keep an eye out for us.

Re: Droid, IPhone, what's the real deal?
I made the "switch" away from Verizon last year. Best thing I ever did. I use PagePlus(you can do everything over their website). I pay $55 per month for unlimited Talk, text, and data. That's all I pay. No taxes, fees, contracts or other crap. With Verizon, the same plan cost me about $12...

Re: Whooping.... FSU is getting a whooping!
Gators punked the noles pretty bad today. 37 points and 250 yards rushing on "the #1 ranked defense" in Doak Campbell is a butt whoopin. Bottom line is the gators had seen several good defenses this season in the sec. The Noles? Not so much in the acc
