Re: NFGFC Members who want to lend a hand...
Weather's funny like that. When we fished the IFA in June, we went to bed expecting 15 knot winds the next day. We ended up fishing in 30+ knot winds that morning.

Re: Silent Running
Wait a month or so and I may join you, Dave. With the negative tides in the winter, the yaks can be downright unfair with skinny water schooling redfish on the flats.

Re: native kayak question
The Native Manta Ray is a sit on top style fishing kayak. It has scupper holes and will self bail. The "Angler" version basically has some built in rod holders and an anchor trolley installed by Native. You can easily install and customize the mantaray yourself. The seat has to be the most...

Re: Tarpon tips?
Seems like those fish will hit anything when you're not rigged and targeting them. From a kayak, I have been successfull jumping and landing big tarpon by using a 7'6" - 8' heavy rod rated to at least 30 pounds. You really need a lot of backbone in the rod to handle the antics a heavy fish can ...

Since I'm NOT a site sponsor, does that mean I don't have to be subjected to any politics on this site now?

Re: Politics forum for Site Sponsors only
That's a hoot. I'd pay $10 to keep politics off of the Forum, rather than to put it on. Remember the web site name: "Big Bend Fishing"? Plenty of other places to have political shout fests, not many that deal with fishing. Why put politics on a fishing web site ? I feel you, brother! Mayb...

Re: Wakulla Top 10 Statewide in final FCAT scores
Year after year, Wakulla County proves this dedication by consistantly posting near the top in the STATEWIDE testing scores. I'm proud of my two children who attend and regularly make the honor role in Wakulla County. The recent standards to lower passing scores have nothing to do with the students ...

Re: Tiger Sharks
Last summer while fishing Dog Ballard reef in my kayak via mothership, I hooked a tigershark that was at least 10 feet long. It was the first time I truly felt like I was on the lesser end of the food chain. The fish had an almost detached manner in the way it casually swam around my kayak while sti...

If Pro means you get paid to be a kayak angler, then I know a bunch of pros. That goose let the pro know what he thought of thatPro as in he gets paid to be a kayak angler

Re: Goose Attacks Pro Kayak Angler Drew Gregory
We've been laughing about the "Pro" kayak angler for a couple years now. I have heard him referenced in other forums as Drew "Goose" Gregory
