St. Joe Bay 5/25
I'm still trying to learn St. Joe Bay but only making a little bit of progress. We fished the flats north and south of Eagle Harbor on Saturday throwing gulps and live shrimp under cajun thunders. Caught five trout with only 2 legitimate keepers -- a 17" and a nice 19". Threw back two 15-i...

CSB Surf Report 4/26-27
Seems like there have been a few inquiries lately about CSB fishing so I thought I would do a brief report on my weekend surf fishing. Friday evening the whiting action was hot and heavy but all small fish. Saturday afternoon hot action again but this time decent sized fish. I think I caught about a...

Re: Photo All-Release Tournament.....won't work?
I debated about even posting on this but it was really bothering me so here ya go. I think good conservation is a wonderful thing to preserve the reseources for our children and their children. (I feel so strongly about it that if that means I have to totally quit fishing/hunting then I'm willing to...

Re: Wanted 9mm ammo
Chill -- If you're still interested, send me an IM or e-mail and we can see what we can work out. Anybody else out there interested in trading 22LR's for 9mm, 380 or 38 based on "normal" prices for each with maybe a reasonable premium on the 22LR, let me know. Thanks.

Re: Wanted 9mm ammo
Chill -- If you're interested in trading 22LR's for 9MM's, I'm definitely interested. But, you made the offer to Dubble so if he's wanting to do that then I don't mean to butt in on that.

Re: Wanted 9mm ammo
Seems like 9mm is starting to be a little more available lately at "normal" prices. A friend was able to pick up 3 boxes of target loads from Walmart a couple of days ago and I've been seeing it here and there in some quantities. On the other hand, 22LR is pretty much impossible to find at...

Re: St Joe Bay!?!?
You can also check with the folks at Scallop Cove or the Trading Post and they can give you a report. I'm told the trout bite is picking up generally in the bay so I would think the flats east of the park both north and south of Eagle Harbor and even in the Harbor would be good areas to hit in the k...

My hero Tin Can doesn't fish anymore? I'm devasted. I thought I was the only one suffering from the Dontfishnomo virus.

Re: Surf Fishing on Cap San Blas
I was there this weekend but didn't get a chance to try it. Lots of folks were fishing the surf but the few I spoke with hadn't caught much and no pompano caught that I was told about. But, that was just a small random sample of folks.

Re: St. Joe Bay scalloping
We had a similar experience Saturday afternoon in the bay. Ended up finding most of the scallops with our feet instead of our eyes. But what we found were almost all real good size -- a lot of "old timers" with moss, etc. all over them. Made for a really nice dinner Sunday evening.
