Re: Garmin depth finder GPS on the fritz?
My old garmin started doing this, it was the power pin in the connector that had basically corroded or eroded away, but it was about 10 years old, I fixed it by cutting the connector off and wiring in a new connector on the wire and glued in the corresponding connector on the unit, would not do that...

Re: Ruger Mini-30
Hopefully it’s better than the ones those guys used, they never hit anyone they aimed at!

Re: Fishin
Last weekend, caught some trout, flounder, bluefish, sea bass and Spanish mackerel. Caught all around but mostly in 3-6 ft with some stain to the water. Nothing really hit the jig under a cork, most everything on straight jig with gulp.

Re: New Killswitch Requirement
I will add that since I have been fishing with my teen daughter we both have life jackets on when running and I have the kill switch on. It really is a smart thing to do, have read to many stories of people being hit by their boat or the boat leaving them stranded.

Re: New Killswitch Requirement
What about a 15hp tiller with no kill switch? It only has an on/off switch, its a Merc Evidently, if the boat was built before January 2020, and does not have a ECOS or or does not have one functioning, you are not required to use it. If it was built prior to January 2020 and has a functioning ECOS...

Re: Less than 70 Degrees ... Waste of Time
Fished Keaton, water temp was between 66-70 all weekend, caught trout, flounder, bluefish, and Spanish Mackerel. Almost all one jigging. Had a great time both Saturday and Sunday. And that early morning low tide on Saturday was a doozy, super low.

Re: SPANISH MACKS
I like them smoked and smoked fish dip, baked in butter/olive oil, grilled (use Italian dressing as a marinade) and pan sautéed in butter and olive oil.

Re: SPANISH MACKS
Seems there was a report here or somewhere I read that someone caught one out of St. Mark’s last week.

Frozen Glass Minnows?
Does anyone know of a store that sells frozen blocks of glass minnows locally? Anywhere from Keaton to Carrabelle to Tallahassee to Thomasville?

Re: Trailer axle replacement
Most of the old bolts broke or snapped, which was fine, I replaced with SS bolts(use anti-seize or grease to prevent galling). Get a can of PB Blaster and soak all the bolts down several days before you start, then again when you are ready to take them off. You might want to get a grinder ready in ...

Re: Trailer axle replacement
I replaced my tandem spring axles several years ago, when using the original hangars, with the right sized parts, not really much to go wrong. I replaced the axles, hubs, brakes, surge actuator and lines all at the same time, wasn’t that hard. Most of the old bolts broke or snapped, which was fine, ...

Re: Is this worth fixing or selling?
The GT21 transducer has traditional 2D and down view only. Would need a different transducer that includes side view for the striker to display SV.
